Gender: Female
Hometown: Ohio
Military Status: Veteran
About Me:
He returned home from the war and married the former Charlena Fitzhugh of Akron. They had 6 children, of which I am the eldest. He worked for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for 33 years, retiring in 1977. He had 15 grandchildren and had he lived a little longer, he would've had 18 great-grands as of this year(2000. My dad passed away on Jan. 20, 1981
I am researching this site in honor of my dad, SSgt. Howard Hewett (veteran). He served in WW11 in France and Germany in a transportation unit. I'm still looking for the paperwork to get the unit he was with.
