Joan McKinney (Civilian)

Gender: Female
Hometown: Tulsa,, Oklahoma
Military Status: Veteran
About Me:
Have attended WAF Reunion each year since I retired, and have made many new friends. As a Field Rep. for WIMSA I enjoyed meeting women veterans and was thrilled to go to Washington, DC for both the Groundbreaking and the Dedication of our new Memorial.
My big surprise came this year when I discovered old friends from Carswell Air Force Base had been looking for me and had been told by the VA that I died in 1974. So, if anyone else got that info. I'm happy to say I'm alive and in good health!

Retired in 1993 and have enjoyed each day of my retirement!
