If you send me your personal email address I will send you and invite to the group. It will be a place for past and present members of the 53rd will be able communicate. We will be able to share stories, pictures, and maybe even be able to find buddies from those yesteryears. My email address is rogpegb@msn.com. Go to Yahoo groups and search for "53rdSigBn" that is the name of our group. Did you know that the 53rd has been reactivated. The ceremony was held at Peterson AFB on Oct 14, 2005. Peterson is in Colorado Springs. Please come over and join us. Everybody is past or present members of the 53rd. Posted by William Langford on 12/09/2005 9:32am Sir, I'm an active duty SPC in the newly reactivated 53rd Signal Battalion. I originally found your Lost and Found bulletin while searching for 53rd Sig lore. I also saw a news article about the reactivation that mentioned you and three others had attended. The 1st Satellite Control Battalion had a cool name. Even with its brief existence, we had some traditions and history. We are always watching the skies. Christmas 2001, Thanksgiving 2004, last month and last Thursday. We've lost the lore of the 1st SATCON Bn, so I'm looking to find out about the 53rd Sig. If you have anything about the 53rd Sig that you're willing to share with one of the new kids, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Best regards, SPC William Langford |
