Posted by Regina Cason on 02/21/2004 9:04pm I am looking for anyone who took AIT with me at Ft. Gordon, Ga. (June - August 1977).My unit was Headquarters Co.A., 3rd Tng Bn. An accident happened to me while I was stationed there and was wondering if anyone out there remembers this. The unit had been out on an early morning muster run and had just returned to the barracks. I was walking into the barracks when the Chain of Command sign that hung on the archway above the entry way came loose from the wall and came crashing down on top of me, knocking me from a standing position down to the floor as well as knocking me unconscious for approximately ten minutes. If anyone remembers this incident please contact me as I am pursuing a disability claim with the VA because of neck and back problems relating to this incident and I need an eyewitness account that can help collaborate my story.
