Said to have been in the Air Force, circa 1970s (and 1980s?), supposedly NAFB. Possibly cross-trained at Camp Pendleton or elsewhere in Southern California. The name "Budgy" might ring a bell. I used to go surfing with Jeff and our old buddy Bob (also an Army brat) in California as kids. Grew up near three military bases, Home of the CBs ... "Marines Can Do!" Jeff supposedly traded his surfboard for a combat plane. There are many people with the name "Jeff Heisler," some of whom are/were in the Military as well as the AF. There is one in FL supposedly born in 1957, supposedly not the right one (he is said to have green eyes). I've heard there is another (middle initial "A") in FL born in July 1960, possibly the right one but not sure. My friend had brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. Known for flying by the seat of his pants, never stood still. (Always was a fly-boy.) He drove a blue baja bug when he was a kid, as well as a motorcycle. Last seen at a surf concert at the beach in the summer of 1976, with our pal Dan.
