My Grandmother often spoke about her brother Davey Deehan who I know she loved very much. She was from Paisley which is just outside Glasgow and Davey fought in the British Army during WWII. He was sadly killed by a landmine in the final days of the war in Sicily. I found your post as I was recently in Edinburgh and searched his name to find his regiment so I could look him up in the remembrance books there but had no joy in finding this information on the internet. I don't know if his middle name was Ronald and sadly my Granny and all of her brothers and sisters have now passed away so I have no way of finding this out but hope this information might be useful even if it is 9 years on from your original message.
