Posted by Brenda Coontz on 07/20/2010 11:48pm I have no info other than his name is Stephen James Foster, he was living in pennsgrove NJ before he went into the navy.Like myself, he does not have great eye sight unless he had surgery. Posted by Aicha Bah on 07/24/2010 1:52am Stephen Foster Stephen Foster graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ in 1992 with a Bachelors of Engineering in Civil Engineer. Following graduation, he entered OCS in Newport, RI and was commissioned an Ensign in the Civil Engineer Corps. His first duty station took him to Hawaii where he served as an Assistant Resident Officer-in-Charge of Construction (AROICC) at Naval Base Pearl Harbor and Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, HI with a follow on tour as the Public Works Officer at Naval Communications and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific in Wahiawa, HI. Upon release from active duty, Mr. Foster took a job as a Construction Estimator with Ahearn-Holtzman in Port Chester, NY followed by a job with Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. in New York, NY as an Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer. After graduating from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY with an M.B.A. in Aviation Management, he took a job as the Facilities Acquisition and Construction Director for The Laredo National Bank, Laredo, TX. Mobilized in 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Mr. Foster served 7 months in Camp Fallujah with the II Marine Expeditionary Force as the Deputy Director of Facilities and the Multi-National Force West (MNF-W) Acquisition Review Board (MARB) Coordinator and 7 months in Port Hueneme, CA with the THIRTIETH NCR as the Table of Allowances (TOA) Readiness Officer (R43). After which, he and family moved to State College, PA. Currently Mr. Foster is a Lieutenant Commander in the Civil Engineer Corps of the U.S. Navy and is attached to the Naval Reserve, Naval Facilities Engineer Command, Officer in Charge of Construction, Contingency. He previously served as the Equipment Officer of Naval Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) SIX, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY (1999); the Maintenance Company Commander of NCHB EIGHT, Fort Dix, NJ (1999-2002); Delta Company Commander and Communications Officer of Naval Mobil Construction Battalion (NMCB) TWENTY-SEVEN (2002-2004); Administration Officer of NINTH Naval Construction Regiment (NCR) (2006-2007); and Hotel Company Commander, Administration Officer, Legal Officer and Public Affairs Officer of NMCB TWENTY-ONE (2008-2009). He is currently on Active Duty Special Work (ADSW) Orders at Marine Corps Camp Pendleton, CA as the Operations Officer of the Facilities Support Contracts Division in the Public Works Department. In addition to previously listed degree, LCDR Foster has an Associates of Science in Business Accounting from Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY (1989). |
