Posted by Shirley Taylor on 11/12/2001 8:37pm Because of our age differences, my father would not allow me to see Jerry. We did write to each other, and when my father found my letters he destroyed them. He joined the Navy just before the War in Vietnam, 1963. I was 14 and Jerry was 19 and wanted me to wait for him. Can someone please help me to find out what ever happened to Jerry. I have never stopped caring about him, just afraid to find out he may have been killed in Vietnam. If you see this Jerry, please remember I always think of you. |

Posted by R Troyer on 08/04/2002 11:46am Shirley, have you had any luck in locating your lost love Jerry? Recently read your request at GISearch website. I'm a military brat who likes to try and help others locate old friends. I know what it is like to make friends and loose them acouple of years later when we would move. I moved 8 times until I graduated in '61 in Naples Italy. Anyway, have you tried www.classmates.com to see if Jerry is registered at his graduating school. You didn't mention the school or city/state that you and Jerry were from during that time. If your not registered, I could check it for you if you would send me the particulars, school name, year of graduation, city/state where school is located. Is Jerry his given name or just a nickname? Also, also mentioned was that your afraid to find out if he was killed in Nam. You can check this out at the following site: www.virtualwall.org This site lists every person killed in action during the Vietnam conflict. You can search by name within state, etc. Hope this helps you some what. Bye for now, Ron |
