Posted by Rose Locascio on 06/05/2006 2:32pm I was 17 when I began visiting England Air Base back in 1965 with a girlfriend whose family was stationed there. I met several great guys and often visited the NCO Club on Sunday's when they had a dance. I made some awesome friends and back then the guys in uniform were kind, polite and considerate...I was never put in a compromising situation...could flirt all I wanted and it was harmless!! I have great memories of alot of guys, can't remember alot of their names..Lynn Callahan and Robert Kasten are the only two that stand out in my memory because I was going steady with both of them...Not at the same time though...Lynn was my boyfriend in 1964 and Robert (Bob) was in 1966...Anyone know of these two...I would appreciate a word about them..I know Robert is somewhere in Pennsylvania... |
