Posted by Peter Bertram on 02/28/2003 8:36pm I arrived in Korea on the Uss Mountrail APA 213 in Jan. 1951. I learned that a good friend of mine from my previous enlistment who served with me on the Mount Mckinley was on the Magpie when she hit a mine and was killed, were u familiar with this incident ? Posted by Rebecca Retz on 05/09/2003 4:52pm Hi! My father was in the Marines and was in Korea around that time. He was a SSGT and his name was Joseph Retz. He died in 1974, but I have been looking for anyone who knew him. I know it is a long shot, but I had to ask. Thank you. Becky Retz |
