Posted by Larry Rigdon on 11/14/2003 4:00pm Larry Mac was wounded in Vietnam from, I believe, a sapper attack. I saw him last in Plano, TX in 1971. We went to high school together ('65,'66) in Lubbock, TX. I think he moved to New Mexico after his tour. He had lived in the Farmington area before 1965. Any info appreciated about a good guy whom I miss. |

Posted by Gunnar Stronen on 10/12/2008 5:22pm I met Larry when I lived in Norway back in the 80's and we became good friends. He was stationed outside Oslo, but eventually retired from the military. He received a beautiful knife from Ronald Regan for his service in Vietnam. His daughter went to school in Norway, but I never met her. After I moved to the US, I lost all contact with him. From time to time he comes to my mind, he was such a nice guy. In fact, just a short while ago I met a guy here in Georgia that knew him from Vietnam. If you like to look around for him, his last place he lived was in Arendal or Kristiansand area. |
