He was apparently on one of three ships deployed in the then called Ellice islands from 1964 to 1966/67 to help clear mines in the islands. One of the ships is called Harris county and two others (the names given I am not sure..something like Logan/or Laughlin ??? and the other ship the Sturtevant???not sure whether those are the correct names of the 2 ships) The ships were based on Funafuti and Nanumea detonating mines in the area. I was conceived after a fling with someone who my mother cant remember, probably a Jack. i have no intention of financial need but I just want to meet my dad. I am now married and have 6 children,2 granddaughters and two on the way. I was born on the 20th April, 1967 in Nanumea Island. My mothers name is Asi. Dad if you are still alive today or if there are siblings I would very much like to meet you all. I can be contacted on my sister-in-laws email address on foskol@slingshot.co.nz or ++649 836-2465, Auckland, New Zealand. Anyone with any details about the ship that was based in Nanumea during this period, any informations would be appreciated.Thanks
