I am trying to find my father for the last 15 years who was with the U.S. Army stationed in Germany between 1963 and 1966. Pfc Charles P. Wilson, was stationed in Germany, Bavaria, Erlangen at the Ferris Barracks as a cook, came from Virginia the Transportation School Fort Eustis, his age today must be 60 +/-1 , his army service number is RA 14 822 220 Class-55-R-6154 or 6754. He is born in one of this state: Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee. I already wrote the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, MO. 8 times their standard form 180 (they call). The only information they gave me is that they have a "governed record by 32 CFR 286, DoD Freedom Of information Act Programm, 32 CFT 286a, DoD Privacy Program" with his adress and they wont give it to me, but I dont know even what thats mean. I allready called or wrote all Wilson I found on i nternet sites like switchboard or classmates. Wrote all Senators and Governors in the States. I wrote also Mr. President Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. No answers. I was told at the consulate to write a letter and thea would forwarded to the known adress, since they have his social security number. I already wrote the V.A. There was never an answer. So I tried them to call, but they have a 1800 number and I can not call a 1800 number from Germany. I have a army record file from my dad where he was stationed. 21 October 1963: CoC9Bn2TngRegtFtJackson Duty MOS: 006.00 10 January 1964: CoB7TngBn3TngRegtUSATC63-3167FtGordon Duty MOS: 112.00 3 April 1964: CoB3dBn51stInf USAREUR Duty MOS: 11C10 15 September 1965: HHC3dBn51stInf USAREUR Duty MOS: 94B20 16 March 1966: SpecProc.DetFtMcPherson,GA 20 April 1966: SpecProc.Det(DFR)FtMcPherson,GA Duty MOS: 57A10 25 April 1966: WAC Det USAG(3180) Attch: Gar Co Ft McPherson,GA Duty MOS: 94B20 28 June 1966: SpecProc.Det(DFR)FtMcPherson,GA 29 September 1966: Det 1Spec rocDet(DFR)USASTC FtGordon,GA Duty MOS: 57A10 If anyone remember, know or have any information about my father, please write me back.
