I am looking for a marine who was stationed in Portland, Maine in this time frame. I am not sure if the ship was there for loading or repairs. The individual's name I believe would be Jack Skates. If anyone new MR. Skates or was in the marines and in Portland Maine at this time, I would appreciate hearing from you. please contact me at kym105@yahoo.com. Thanks, Gail
