Also looking for any reunions for the 1st Marine Division from WW2. |

Posted by Connie Nachman on 06/19/2004 10:09am I am just starting to search for anyone that knew my Father. His name was Harry L. Betts from Detriot Michigan. He was at Parris Island in Platoon 50 and finished boot camp in August 1940. From Pictures and articles I Found he served on the USS Texas from 12/42 until 1945. I know he was in the South Pacific and was at Iwo Jima. I found a picture of three men that was taken in S.W. Pacific in June of 1944. The men were Mike Kroqnick, from PA. V.Benedict, from N.Y. and Donald Hogen, from Lancaster PA. My father died when I was 6 and I just found an old photo album with a lot of his military information in it. I know this may be a long shot but since you were both in the marines about the same time thought I would take a chance. If you should rember my Father or the other men could you please contact me.
