To best sum it up: YOU FOLLOWED CHRIST, and you were a positive influence on me. We played in a band together: I had talked you into playing drums with a band formed from guys from guys on base. We did an original song ("Lifetime Love") and got to perform it at the Regional Tops in Blue competition at Travis AFB, California, in c. 1980. You were a true witness to me at a time when I did not follow the Lord. You might be pleased to know that I ended up recommitting my life to Christ at the end of my enlistment in 1985, ended up graduating from a Bible College and then seminary to train for ministry. I ended up becoming a professor of biblical counseling at my alma mater for five years. Now I work for a nonprofit organization that targets African-American youth who struggle in school and lead worship in a local church on weekends. Recently separated from wife (long story) but we are negotiating reconciliation. We have two children, 6 and 8 years, whom we deeply love. This situation has shocked and humbled me, but God has been proving Himself faithful to me and my family. In case you don't remember me, I was the light-skinned brother who played guitar and lived down the hall from you in the dorms. Hope all is well with you, brother, and I look forward to hearing from you. Blessings to you and yours
