Hi, I was at Camp Tien sha from Oct. 1967 to Nov. 1968. I got there just in time for all of the fun. Do you remember the barracks being blown up? It was where they housed all of the temporaries until they could get to their units. The main gate gurad shack was blown up too. We heard it was a kid with explosives strapped to him. Others say they saw grenades being thrown, who knows. I remember a guy named Bumpus. I worked with him a lot. I bartended at the enlisted mens club. I drove workers and equipment. I stood guard at the Da Nang white water tower during TET. Quiet a trip. I am glad it is over. I have spent 38 years trying to forget that mess. Now they say I have PTSD. And they want me to remember. How about you. You had to experience the mess I did. Do you remember any of it? I was a Seabee with the Public Works division. Where did you work. I am glad to finally find someone from Camo Tiensha. My email is: flomonstertwo@aol.com. My name is Les Otto I was a BU-3.Write and maybe we will see each other at one of the reunions.
