Hey, Roy-I was stationed at Pr'Line from July, 1967-July or Aug 1968. I probably got there in Aug 1967, being in transit for awhile. I was attached to Long Lines and we mostly worked in the steel building which housed the microwave gear. Been about 40 years since I was there, but memories are pretty fresh in my mind, I think. Can't say that I have been in contact with anyone who was there then, but have mostly good memories of fellow gi's, montagnard, Philipino's and all. It was a good time in my way of thinking, but also sad as some people were lost to a couple of ambushes. If you were at Pr'Line, you were probably there when the convoy was hit and some of our folks were lost. That was a little bit before I came. During Tet a patrol of our security guys got ambushed . We lost one soldier, 4 Montagnards , one sergeant severely wounded. It was a sad day. Even if we were not there at the same time, we probably know some of the same people and share similar experiences. Hope you luck in locating some of your old friends. John
