The camp was on the platform of Mieilles. Name: JOHN SCHNEIDER, born between 1914 and 1920. Here are the units that were present for the reconstruction: Port of Embarkation FOURTH Major SIBLEY Cleland Colonel 1056th Engineer Port Construction and Repair Group CRESS James Colonel Units: 332d Engineer General Service Regiment 333th Engineer Special Service Regiment LANGSTROTH Guy Colonel 342d Engineer General Service Regiment The 333th unit is originally from Ohio. It seems that John Schneider lived in Ohio, but it is not a certainty. In the Army, I found SCHNEIDER JOHN H, born 5/17/1919 and died 7/31/2004, Zanesville, Ohio. John was an Italian-American friend, Pat (Patrick?) FORILLA. I would be happy if you can help me in this research. I have a picture of the soldier. I'll put it on this forum.
