Posted by Therese Jakubowski on 07/01/2002 4:24am I am the niece of Lt. Carl Thomas Cahill (my mother's brother), from Akron, Ohio. He was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam who was shot down on June 1, 1969, while piloting his Huey Cobra helicopter in (I believe) Tay Ninh province. He was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. I would like to locate anybody that knew and/or served with him during that time from 1967 to 1969.
