Posted by John Messeder on 07/28/2009 10:17am Hi Onalee, My father Served with Sandy and were good friends. I remember his passing well as we were stationed at Ft. Hood at the time, and my father was also an OV-1 pilot.My father was home for lunch when he heard about the accident over the radio.I was 9 years old and friends with his youngest son at the time, although I have not been in contact since 1982. If you call my father I am sure he would be glad to talk to you about your father, he may even have a picture or two. I am sorry for your loss. I left in September before your dad was killed in January he was an awesome person it was him and Tom Messeder that convinced me to go to flight school.
