Posted by Mary Agresti on 01/14/2006 1:11am Trying to contact Jerry Dawson (spelling may be incorrect) who served on the USS Springfield around 1971 at Gaeta, Italy and might have been from Alabama. Franco DiBiasi in Itri, Italy says you two were good buddies and he wants to phone you. Franco now works at the Itri Tourist Center where my brother-in-law met him this past summer. Franco helped with the locating of family documents in Itri -- and in return the family would like to do him the favor of finding his old friend.
