Posted by Mathaniel Hyatt III on 11/16/2003 1:49am Hi, my name is Matty Hyatt. My grandfather served aboard the Greene from at least January '45. I believe he served longer, but that's the earliest known time. If you knew him at all, you might have known him as Ed Hyatt. He was signalman 2nd class. By the time he was discharged he was a petty officer. If you knew him, then please let me know. Heck, even if you didn't know him, I wouldn't mind knowing more about the Greene and some of the things that went on and battle groups it traveled with and so forth. Thanks, -Matty P.s. My grandfather's full name was Mathaniel Edward Hyatt. My dad and my Uncle and I are all named after him. My Uncle's name is David Mathaniel, and my dad Mathaniel Edward Hyatt Jr and I'm Mathaniel Edward Hyatt III. |
