Posted by Christine Lafferty on 02/28/2002 3:35pm During the second world my mother had a relationship with an American GI and I am the result of this. At this time my mother was in the land army. My mother has only given me his name, Frank Jackson and the state he was from, West Virginia. I know he was serving with the M.P at a camp in Bruche, Warrington during the spring of 1945. I was born in December, 1945 so he was obviously at this camp nine months previous to then. When my mother told him she was pregnant he suggested and abortion, fortunately she did't agree and the relationship ended, he was shipped back home. Now at 56 I am curious to know more about him. It has never bothered me before but my own children feel I should try and locate him (if he is still alive), so this is what I am doing.
Posted by Arthur Davis on 03/09/2002 12:54pm I am sending the Frank Jackson's who are deceased and were from WV. I do NOT know if any of these were in the Military. Only that their names are what you are seeking and that they were from West Virginia at one time. More than Likely you could eliminate those born prior to the 1920's because I am a WWII vet and I was born in 1926, and was 17 at the time I went into the service. So I could or would say you should be dealing with those born from 1918 and forward. Now to look up others with or by the name of Frank Jackson,go to http://www.switchboard.com and find people the type in his name and put in WV and see what comes up. If there are not to many suggest you make up a repeat letter and mail to each one. ART a Vietnam Veteran and a WWII Vet.
