HQ of the US Forces-Japan building at Fuchu AS
Although a small base, Fuchu was HQ fo the US Forces-Japan, HQ 5th Air Force, and the location of a number of units Communications, Weather, and the Pacom Elint Center. It was located 22 Km. from Tokyo and was close to Tachikawa AFB and Yokota AFB..
