| Basic Combat Training - 1977This photograph was taken either in July or August 1977 towards the end of my Basic Combat Training at Fort Bliss. It looks like I was leisurely given the time to put on my dress uniform. It was not the case. My platoon was awaken at dawn and we put on our physical training clothes as usual. We were led to a building where we were filed in one-by-one quickly to have someone put a dress uniform jacket sewn with shirt and black tie prior to being seated. A camera snapped the photograph,we were told to "move it, move it, move it!" as the jacket was stripped off so we could get back into the routine physical fitness training. | |||||
