I'm an amateur Genealogist and Historian. The last 35 years i've worked on several subjects. Some of them related to WWII in the Dutch region. I'm currently writing an in depth study about the end of WWII in the region of Heerlen (in the Netherlnads). i'm also involved in researching the background of a member of the Dutch resistance that was killed in aug 1944. I've also got requests to continue this type of studies for other members of the resistance in Gouda (Holland)
The most important activity is the search of the natural father of a niece of mine. She was born in July 1945 and adopted shortly thereafter. I do know that the father was a member of the 30th Infantry Division (Old Hickory) and has as first name Lionel.
