Actually, I am registering by proxy for my dad. This is a surprise birthday present for him. I am his daughter, Kathy Baker-Tiney. My dad, William Joseph Baker, was a boom-operator in the Air Force for twenty years. He (we-my mom, Mary Ruth Hill-Baker, my brothers, Randy , Kenny, and me,Kathy) was stationed at Maxwell AFB, Montgumery, Ala., the air force base in Columbus, Miss., Springfield, Mass. Jacksonville, Ark., Rapid City, South Dakota, and several places before Columbus AFB (California, Texas, and New Mexico. Those twenty years were the best years of our family's life. We made so many wonderful friends and we miss them. We would like to know where they are, how they are doing,what has happened to them since we heard and/or saw them last and, if possible, we would love to see them or write and exchange e-mails. My mom and dad are living in Jacksonville, Arkansas, where we retired in 1970. They are alive and well and are the grandparents of 16 beautiful grown grandchildren and great-grandparents of 8 precious great-grandchildren. Two of their children, me (Kathy Tiney and family) and Randy (and family), live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and their 3rd child, Kenny (and his family) live in Conway, Arkansas. I am a wife (aka professional homemaker) and mother of four wonderful grown children and proud grandmother of three adorable angels. I've attended a local community college where I majored in art and creative writing and graphic design and hope to continue on to get my bachelors degree at Brigham Young University.Randy is husband and a father of five beautiful grown children (well, the youngest is almost grown, in the 11th grade) and he and his wife, sherry , also had a sweet angel-boy who was born January 1996 and sadly passed away of leukemia in July of the same year. Randy has five precious grand children. He has been with the post office as a mail carrier for around 27 years and is with the Air Force National Guard where he flies as a load master, in Boise, Idaho. He has served, proudly with the guard, in Iraq several times. He served 3 years in the navy in Florida right after he graduated from high school. Kenny is husband and father of five and grandfather of two precious grandchildren. He and his wife manage some very nice apartments in Conway, Arkansas. Anyway, our family has been very busy these past umpteen years, as each of our dear friends have probably been. Time flies by like a jet.
