Retired ARNG 22yrs, Armor, Basic training Ft. Knox, 1974,AIT Drill Sgt was Drill Sgt Vinney, McDurmit, Doughtery, cant remember all, I went thru AIT M60 training, Sheridan training, Back home got put in M48 tank, then M48 A1, M48 A5, M60, M60A1, M60A3, M1 Abrams, M1A1, finally M1A2 then I retired, I was a member of the 49 Armor Division, Then the 50th Armor Division, Then the 136th ACR,THen back to the 49th which is now the T patch, Texas Army National Guard, I am looking for anybody that went thru Basic and AIT at Fort Knox from 19 June 1974 thru end of Sept 1974 , My best friend in basic was Dale Mathis from Dalton Georgia, He had a Trans Am and a Ford Pantera.
