Back before I joined the U.S. Army, I lived in Miami Florida. There I met a young man just arrived in the USA from Hungary, whose name was Peter. We soon became very good friends and doubled dated with our girlfriends. His car was an old Chevrolet convertible and mine was also a chevy convertible, only a little newer (1956). Later I met a girl from Poland newly arrived in the USA and she became my girlfriend. This is old history but I was in foreign countries myself for over 11 years during my military career. In fact, I rode 7 countries in Europe on my motorad/motorcycle. I miss the travel to other countries now that I am retired, but very glad I was there as long as I was.
