About Me:
Married a Nebraska gal back in '58 and liberated her to Wisconsin. In return, she gave me three sons and three daughters plus a whole array of grandchildren (11 with 2 more by mid summer 2000).
June 1955 - September 1955: Basic Training Flight 564 (3706 BMTS) Lackland AFB San Antonio TX
September 1955 - January 1956: Tech School 3341st Student Sqdrn. Amarillo AFB TX
January 1956 - February 1959: 98th Field Maintenance Sqdn. Lincoln AFB NE
December 1957 - March 1958: 90-Day TDY Ernest Harmon AFB Stephenville Newfoundland
After service, I worked 31 years as an engineering specialist with WisDOT retiring in '94. Presently member of the AFA; SAC Association & 98th Bomb Group Veterans Association.
Volunteer Tour Guide at our Wisconsin Veterans Museum (Madison) I'm also writing up a history brief of Lincoln AFB both during the WWII era AND cold war era of 1953-66 when the base closed for good.
