I am not a veteran, I am the son of one, looking for my father. My father served in the Navy, around 1967, made several visits to Saigon on his ship, where he saw me (my name was Long), my older brother (his name was Hai) till I was at least three years old, and my Vietnamese mother. My mother (her name is SAKIA) tells me she can only remember his first name: Mark. I have one picture of him at a bar with me sitting on his lap at about 3 years old with my brother (about 4 years old) standing in front of us. My mother tells me he might have lived in New York, and that he was older (about 40 to 50 years old) at the time. I remember him bringing us gum, watches, and tooth brushes. We would also ride a motorcycle around town. My brother and I were brought out of Vietnam in the Baby Lift at ages 8 and 9, and were adopted in Littleton, Colorado.
