About Me:
Pam and I bought a house in 1984 and raised three kids. We also bought a small motorcycle in 1984 just to kind of putter around on close to home. We gradually traded our way up, and finally now that the kids have all moved out, we own a 1999 Full-Dressed Honda Valkryie, 6 cylinder and instead of puttering around home, we now travel the U.S in style. We recently celebrated oour 25th Wedding Anniversary, have 2 grandchildren and are having the time of our lives. Not to bad for a couple oof grandparents in their 40's.
After exiting the service in 1984, Pam and I decided that the risks taken in the field of law enforcement were much higher than the pay, at least in West Michigan anyways, so I took a couple of computer courses, landed a job as a computer operator, worked my way up to a programmer, and now after 18 years I'm the computer department supervisor. Pam worked odd jobs for a few years while raising the kids, but once the last one moved out, we are now able to get by quite nicely on just my income.
