Raymond Kemp (Civilian)
Gender: Male
Hometown: Defreestville, New York
Military Status: Civilian
About Me:
I used my GI bill to get an AS degree in Drafting/Design technology. As an Engineering Designer, I got into Computer Aided Design and Electro-Mechanical Engineering as a second career. I am living in Sanford, Florida currently. I have been working in Daytona since April, 1997. The commute is not the greatest but the pay is worth it. Job satisfaction is good and I will be retiring at 65 if the drivers on I-4 don't kill me first. I have five children and six grandchildren here and there. I still have my custom car crafting hobby of 48 years, I am a music collector, into computers big time, love to read and I enjoy my life.
Retired as a Data Processing Tech, 1st Class from USS Saipan (LHA-2). Served in ASW community in Keflavik, Iceland, then Tactical Support Center in Jax, Fl. Lead Instructor at the TSC School in Dam Neck, Va. Prior to all that, I was on the USS Yorktown (CVS-10) ships company and in Fitron 114 (VF-114) on USS Kitty Hawk for my Viet Nam tour. Several shore stations between. Retired in October, 1979.
