Married 42 years; 7 grandchildren with another in a hopper. Son, Tim, graduated from the Naval Academy; was on active duty for six years, and has continued on with the reserves. Was promoted to full Commander in December 2002. He's on a one year active duty assignment at Pearl Harbor presently. Another son has retired from the Air Force as a Master Sgt. after 20 years in Electronics Inteligence.
Four years plus active duty in the early 1960's then continued on for a total of 26 years as a Naval Reservist, attaining the rank of Commander.
Following active duty, I returned to college and obtained a Masters Degree at Humboldt State College in Wildlife Management and worked for the Soil Conservation Service and the Bureau of Land Management as a Wildlife Biologist for a total of 33 years.
