Hometown: Shepherdsville, Kentucky
Military Status: Veteran
About Me:
After military service in 1966, attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. In 1970 went to work for Leisure Inns and Resorts, a hotel management company based in Cleveland, Ohio. During this period, I remained in Sault Ste. Marie. Married Karen Dybeck, of the Soo and we had two children, Jennifer and Jason. In 1974 the Department of Defense opened the Fire Protection career field to civilians and I entered the Civil Service as a firefighter. Retired as an Assistant Chief in Grand Forks, ND in 1995. Still living in Grand Forks. I was divorced from Karen in 1986 and remarried in the summmer of 1995 to Patti Pasbrig of Grand Forks. My son, Jason resides in Fremont, NE where he has his own landscaping business and his wife Becky Schmidt of Williston, ND is a meterologist for the National Weather Service in Fremont. They have one daughter, Madison, 2 years old. My daughter, Jennifer, lives about two blocks from me with her two children, Nathan and Brenna, 11 and 10 respectively. Jenny is a single mom and has recently gone back to school, full time. After a "near death" experience as a result of post-surgical complications, she decided she wanted to teach secondary school science and us pursuing that interest. I am ready to spend the winters if Florida, but my wife is too young to quit work, so I usually take extended vacations to the Gulf of Mexico sometime during the winter, and do a lot of hunting and fishing the rest of the year. We spend all the time we can at a place called "Bad Medicine Lake" about two hours East of us, in Minnesota. Great Rainbow trout fishing. You're welcome to visit!
