Posted by Brian Gibson on 03/31/2004 3:24am Hello, My father was in a late fifties Doo-Wop group called The Del Rays and was also in the USAF for 20 years. I wonder if this is the same group you are seeking? I would be very interested in any information you may have and I would love to hear any recordings that may still exist. My father's name is Charles A. Gibson and he sang the bass part in the band. He was stationed at George AFB here in California during the late fifties and I have a photograph of him with his bandmates, although the photo looks to be pre- military service. He passed away in 2000 but I remember one of his friends from the band came to his funeral. Please feel free to email me direct with any info you may have. Thanks and goodluck with your search, Brian A. Gibson Fresno, Ca artqueb@yahoo.com |
